Having trouble accessing gmail (must… have… email…) and for the life of me I couldn’t figure how it was a local problem. Filed a support ticket, and a few hours later, I get a real, insightful response! Contrast this with the typical automated acknowledgement response, 24-48 hour delay, followed by somewhat condescending explanations.
Hi Andrew, That is really odd, since if the connection is working fine then you should be able to bring up any website..the connection usually doesn't affect a particular website but as you mentioned the issue is happening on all computer as well. So it would have to be something common to all computers (a software that is installed on all of them) that is preventing the gmail website from loading properly or their is also the possibility that the "MTU size" might be affecting that website from loading properly. So if you have a router, the MTU size would need to be changed from within the router setup. I would recommend trying 1454 and see if it resolves the issue. If not I would recommend calling in since issues are a little tricky to fix by email. Regards, Jonathan
It was a problem on my end, of course. It turns out the other computer was merely slow, and the main computer corrected itself after clearing Firefox’s cache.
