On a lark (I have a flock it seems), I decided to go to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year! Hopefully it will look as good as this:
I’ll be bringing my camera along, so I hope I’ll be able to take lots of interesting pictures!
Why Hong Kong, and why 7 days notice? Long story short, I stumbled on cheap flights to Hong Kong (C$900 post-taxes, direct YYZ-HKG!), and immediately started looking into lodgings. In the end, I got a free place to rest my head (thanks, Dee!), but took too long to book the tickets and paid a premium on that instead.
I wrestled with it for awhile, but I’ve been talking about visiting Hong Kong far too many times now. The worst moment was when I compared the extra cost of a direct flight to something that money could buy: a nice lens for my camera! 
At least I get to fly something other than a North American airline this time!
